- ½ english cucumber, peeled and grated
- 1 cup plain greek yogurt
- ½ teaspoon minced garlic
- ½ tablespoon red wine vinegar
- ½ tablespoon lemon juice
- ¼ teaspoon dried dill or 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ⅛ teaspoon ground black pepper
Instructions
- Gather the grated cucumber and place it in a kitchen towel. Squeeze to remove excess water and transfer to a medium-sized bowl.
- Add the yogurt, minced garlic, red wine vinegar, lemon juice, dried or fresh dill, salt, and ground black pepper. Mix thoroughly.
- Cover the mixture and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving. The tzatziki can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
Notes
For a milder flavor, adjust the garlic to your preference.
Tzatziki works well as a dressing for salads or as a dip for veggies.
