Description

Tzatziki features a refreshing blend of cucumber and Greek yogurt, enhanced with garlic and dill. This flavorful dip is quick to whip up, making it an ideal accompaniment for Mediterranean dishes or a healthy snack option.

Ingredients

Scale
  • ½ english cucumber, peeled and grated
  • 1 cup plain greek yogurt
  • ½ teaspoon minced garlic
  • ½ tablespoon red wine vinegar
  • ½ tablespoon lemon juice
  • ¼ teaspoon dried dill or 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ⅛ teaspoon ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Gather the grated cucumber and place it in a kitchen towel. Squeeze to remove excess water and transfer to a medium-sized bowl.
  2. Add the yogurt, minced garlic, red wine vinegar, lemon juice, dried or fresh dill, salt, and ground black pepper. Mix thoroughly.
  3. Cover the mixture and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving. The tzatziki can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.

Notes

For a milder flavor, adjust the garlic to your preference.
Tzatziki works well as a dressing for salads or as a dip for veggies.
