Description

This guacamole is a crowd-pleaser with its irresistible flavor and simple preparation. Made with fresh avocados, cilantro, and lime juice, it’s perfect for any gathering or quick meals.


Ingredients

  • 8 ripe avocados
  • 1 small red onion diced
  • 4 tomatoes seeded and diced
  • 3/4 cup fresh cilantro chopped
  • 1 jalapeno pepper minced
  • 3 garlic cloves minced
  • juice of 2 limes
  • 1/2 teaspoon coarse sea salt
  • tortilla chips – optional


Instructions

  1. Slice the avocados in half, remove the pit, and scoop flesh into a mixing bowl. Mash the avocado with a fork, leaving it slightly chunky.
  2. Add the diced onion, tomatoes, chopped cilantro, minced jalapeño pepper, minced garlic, and salt to the bowl. Gently mix the ingredients together.
  3. Serve immediately in smaller bowls or family style, accompanied by tortilla chips, or spoon it over grilled chicken or fish.

Notes

For extra creaminess, add in some sour cream to the mix.
Make sure to serve it fresh as it tastes best right after preparation.
You can adjust the spice by adding more or less jalapeño.
