Description

This Steak Salad combines juicy sirloin steak with fresh mixed greens, roasted corn, and a zesty dressing, making it an ideal choice for a quick, healthy meal or a delightful dinner with loved ones.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound sirloin steak or favorite cut
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper
  • 8 cups mixed greens or favorite lettuce
  • 1 cup grape tomatoes, halved
  • 1 cup roasted corn kernels
  • ½ cup red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • 4 oz blue cheese, crumbled
  • 1/3 cup olive oil
  • 3 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dijon mustard
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper


Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  2. Rub the steak with olive oil and season generously with salt and pepper. Place the steak on the hot grill and cook for 4 to 5 minutes per side based on thickness and desired doneness. Use a meat thermometer for accuracy (130º for medium rare, 135º for medium, 140º for medium well).
  3. Remove the steak from the grill and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
  4. Alternative cooking methods include using a hot skillet or Sous Vide, based on your preference.

Notes

For a lighter version, reduce or omit the blue cheese.
