Description

This Sandwich Bread is simple to make and features irresistible flavor from fresh ingredients. Perfect for quick meals and homemade sandwiches!


Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups bread flour
  • 3 tsp instant yeast
  • 2 tbs granulated sugar
  • 2 1/4 tsp salt
  • 5 tbs butter unsalted
  • 1 1/2 cup water room temperature
  • 1 tbs vegetable oil for greasing


Instructions

  1. Combine the bread flour, instant yeast, granulated sugar, and salt in a stand mixer bowl.
  2. With the mixer running, gradually add the butter and pour in the water slowly.
  3. Mix on medium speed for about 10 minutes until the dough is smooth.
  4. Form the dough into a ball and coat it with about a 1/2 tablespoon of vegetable oil.
  5. Transfer the dough to a bowl, cover it, and allow it to rise for about 1 1/2 hours, until it has doubled in size.
  6. Gently punch down the dough and move it to a lightly floured surface.
  7. Shape it into a rectangle, then tightly roll it into a loaf with the seam side down.
  8. Place the loaf in a greased pan, cover it, and allow it to rise for another hour.
  9. Preheat your oven to 400°F and bake for 35–40 minutes.
  10. If the top darkens too quickly, cover it loosely with foil halfway through baking.
  11. After baking, remove the bread from the pan and let it cool completely before slicing.

Notes

Ensure the water is at room temperature for best results.
You can use a kitchen scale to measure flour for more accuracy.
Store the bread in a cool, dry place to keep it fresh.
