Description
Pimento Cheese combines sharp cheddar and cream cheese for a creamy, savory spread. Ideal for quick snacks or parties, this simple recipe is a crowd-pleaser!
Ingredients
Scale
- 3 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 4 oz. cream cheese
- ¼ cup mayonnaise (duke’s brand is my favorite)
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ¼ teaspoon paprika
- ¾ teaspoon celery salt
- 3 tablespoons chopped pimentos
- 1 tablespoon pimento juice/brine
Instructions
- Shred the cheese and set aside.
- In a bowl, mix 4 oz. cream cheese with ¼ cup mayonnaise until smooth using a hand mixer or a vigorous stir.
- Add in ½ teaspoon onion powder, ½ teaspoon garlic powder, ¼ teaspoon paprika, and ¾ teaspoon celery salt. Mix well.
- Incorporate 3 tablespoons chopped pimentos and 1 tablespoon pimento juice or brine. Mix until combined. If it feels too wet, refrigerate to firm up before serving.
- Fold in the shredded sharp cheddar cheese until just combined.
- Serve immediately or chill before serving.
Notes
For a thicker consistency, refrigerate before serving.
Use Duke’s mayonnaise for the best flavor.
Great for sandwiches or as a dip with crackers.
