Description

This No Knead Artisan Bread is all about simplicity and flavor. With just a few ingredients, you’ll create a tasty, crusty loaf that’s perfect for any meal. Ideal for quick dinners, healthy meals, or just enjoying fresh bread at home!


Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons coarse sea salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon active dry yeast
  • 1 ½ cups warm water


Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, salt, and yeast. Pour warm water into the mixture and stir with a wooden spoon until well combined. The dough will be sticky. Cover and let it rise at room temperature for 3-4 hours or in the refrigerator for up to 15 hours.
  2. Scoop the dough onto a floured surface and shape it into a ball. Lightly sprinkle flour on top of the dough ball and place it on parchment paper. Cover with a dry kitchen towel and let it rise for another 30 minutes. Optionally, score the dough with a bread lame at this point.
  3. While the dough rises, place an empty Dutch oven or cast iron pot (lid on) in the oven and preheat to 450 degrees F.
  4. Uncover the dough and lift the parchment paper with the dough into the preheated pot. Cover with the lid and bake for 30 minutes.
  5. After 30 minutes, remove the lid and bake uncovered for about an additional 15 minutes or until the top is golden brown. Remove from the oven and cool on a wire rack.
  6. Store the bread in an open paper bag on the counter for up to 1 week.

Notes

This bread is perfect for pairing with soups or spreads.
Experiment with adding herbs or garlic for extra flavor.
For best results, use a kitchen scale to measure ingredients.
