- 1 sleeve ritz crackers crushed
- ½ cup butter melted
- 4 cups cooked chicken diced or shredded
- 1 can cream of chicken soup 10.5 ounces
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 4 green onions thinly sliced
- ½ cup slivered almonds optional
- 10 slices bacon cooked and chopped
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F and prepare a 9X13 baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
- In a small bowl, mix together the crushed Ritz crackers with melted butter, then set aside.
- In a large bowl, combine cooked chicken, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, garlic powder, shredded cheese, green onions, slivered almonds (if using), and chopped bacon. Stir until everything is evenly mixed.
- Spread the chicken mixture into the prepared baking dish evenly.
- Sprinkle the reserved cracker mixture over the top of the chicken layer.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and allow to rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
For added flavor, use homemade cream of chicken soup instead of canned.
This casserole can be prepared ahead of time; just cover and refrigerate before baking.
