Description

This comforting Neiman Marcus Chicken Casserole combines tender chicken, creamy soup, and a crunchy cracker topping for a satisfying dish. Perfect for a quick family dinner!


Ingredients

  • 1 sleeve ritz crackers crushed
  • ½ cup butter melted
  • 4 cups cooked chicken diced or shredded
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup 10.5 ounces
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 4 green onions thinly sliced
  • ½ cup slivered almonds optional
  • 10 slices bacon cooked and chopped


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F and prepare a 9X13 baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the crushed Ritz crackers with melted butter, then set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, combine cooked chicken, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, garlic powder, shredded cheese, green onions, slivered almonds (if using), and chopped bacon. Stir until everything is evenly mixed.
  4. Spread the chicken mixture into the prepared baking dish evenly.
  5. Sprinkle the reserved cracker mixture over the top of the chicken layer.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
  7. Remove from the oven and allow to rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

For added flavor, use homemade cream of chicken soup instead of canned.
This casserole can be prepared ahead of time; just cover and refrigerate before baking.
Feel free to add other vegetables like peas or broccoli for extra nutrition.
