Description

These homemade Cinnamon Rolls are perfect for breakfast or a delightful treat. With their irresistible cinnamon filling and creamy frosting, they bring comfort and joy to any occasion!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/4 cup warm water
  • 1/4 cup butter melted
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 1 egg room temperature
  • 1 tablespoon white sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 4 cups bread flour
  • 1 .25 ounce package active dry yeast
  • 1/4 cup butter softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 4 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup butter softened
  • 1 cup confectioners' sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons milk

Instructions

  1. Combine water, melted butter, warm milk, egg, sugar, salt, bread flour, and yeast in a bowl, mixing on low speed.
  2. Turn the mixed dough onto a floured surface and roll it into a 17×10 inch rectangle. Spread softened butter over the dough.
  3. In a small bowl, mix brown sugar and cinnamon, then sprinkle it over the dough.
  4. Roll up the dough from the long side and slice it into 16 one-inch pieces, placing them in a buttered 9×13 pan.
  5. Allow the rolls to rise in a warm area until doubled in size, about 45 minutes.
  6. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  7. Bake the rolls in the preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes. Meanwhile, mix softened butter, confectioners' sugar, vanilla, and milk for the frosting.
  8. Once baked, let the rolls cool before applying the frosting.

Notes

Make sure to use warm water and milk, but not too hot, as it can kill the yeast.
For an extra touch, add nuts or raisins to the filling before rolling up the dough.
These rolls are best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
